    1. Yes, I am going to the best spot ever. I plan to write a poem for Forrest Fenn. I am drawing him out. I feel I got wise and found the blaze; now I have to get cold. The poem contains nine clues that only a person who’s very close to the solve or Fenn himself will understand. Once I am close I will release the poem one verse at a time. Over a few days the complete poem will be released. I am a gambling man and I bet by the end of my venture the poem will get a rise out of Forrest Fenn.

      1. I have been back for several days and plan to blog soon. I have pics of the area but I could not beat the water which was and is too high this time of year. I will give out all the info I knew and explain how the poem fits in my blog. No elk burger as I was a day early for their opening and I couldn’t stay in Gardiner. I will make up for that in August. I will still get a rise out of Forrest and you can see what I am planning on the blog soon. THe poem I planned to write fits the area I was at in April but I now feel he won’t react to it as I may have it wrong. Oh it is below the home of Brown but there are five Browns in the area and four have warm water near by.

  3. I was wondering, I noticed you had gone to the Joe Brown Boat Access off of Highway 89, next to Slip and Slide Ranch. If that is correct, did you actually walk into Yellowstone River from that boat ramp or is the water too high to walk across to the other side. It was mentioned a little further down you need an experienced rafter, but at Joe Brown I wasn’t sure how the waters were. Also, I noticed on Google Maps that there were a few small islands in the Yellowstone River near Joe Brown Boat Ramp. Did you happen to look there? I am from Tennessee and I may never be able to go out West, but was just curious about other poeple’s experiences because my thoughts of searching were similar. Please email me back with your knowledge.

    Sincerely,

    Stephen Williams

    1. Yes I went to this put in. The water is too deep to cross but I have been on both sides. The islands are up stream from their so I did not check them out. These islands are where a boat touring company has a short class on them when people take a ride down the river.
By the way, A musician living in Tennessee has considered writing a song about the treasure. If that person should come through I would love to put it on this site. Just saying.

  4. I wish you had time to map out every step you made in that area. Where those little islands are it looks shallow in spots according to google maps. There is also that patch of pine trees next to it. Have you looked there. Also, when I zoomed in on google maps, I noticed some sort of pole or stick in the water near the islands. I wish someone could actually go to that area and film for me to observe from where I am. That would be asking too much I suppose.

    1. I will be in that area as soon as weather is good enough to find the treasure if it is there. if I can get there early before the runoff starts I will take some pictures and put them here for you. My opinion is a river bed changes too much too often for anyone to count on things staying where they would put for long. The Yellowstone changes many feet in one year. I do believe you are in the right area. Now if you want to get excited about logs and poles follow these instructions and I think you will be very pleasantly surprised. First on get on google earth type in Tom Miner Bridge or go past the boat put in then go down stream to Miner Bridge. Use the measuring device at the top of the screen and go to feet now go back up the river (south) toward the boat ramp exactly 4266.44 feet. Now look at the bank on the west side. You will see the x that marks the spot. Let me know if you are impressed I couldn’t wait to check this out.

      1. Awesome! I will be checking Google Earth out soon. The other spot that I feel it could be is in the area of Firehole River where he used to go bathing in. Alot of people have gone there, but he claims that some have been within 200 ft from it and walked past it by missing out on the other clues. I think that this could go well with Joe Brown Access because alot of people may not seem interested in stopping here and drive right past it. Just an idea. Thanks for getting back in touch with me. I look forward to seeing your images when you go searching. You may want to be safe and take a partner with you wherever you go, after that one guy they are still searching for who went alone. I don’t think this treasure is hard to get to, but you do have to know where you are going.

      2. Hello again. This is Stephen Williams. We had emailed each other back in February this year about the Chase. We both were highly interested in the Joe Brown put-in area at Yellowstone River. You mentioned you were possibly going that way and might happen to take some pictures and/or videos of the area. I still feel like this area could very well match up, in my opinion, but I know Forrest mentioned you can’t just do it all online and you have to get out there as well. Were you able to take any pics or videos? Please email me back. I can’t make it out there for a long time from now, meaning years….lol! I just want to have fun doing this and be able to talk with others about it. Please get back with me as soon as possible.

      3. Stephen, yes of course I remember you. I am going to get a new blog out to showcase my latest photos just to respect your request. I am glad you asked and you reminded me that some visitors are enjoying the Chase through the web. I plan to show all the places I have looked but this will take some doing as I did not take the latest pictures but will need to get them. Now that said, I will take a photo history of what I believe will be the finding of the treasure as I feel I have finally solved the poem. Here is a hint it isn’t the alfa but the omega. (Isn’t Forrest)

      4. If you are wright then I have been going about this wrong. Watch for Fenn speak. For example I could find everything including the Blaze but I still would need to look quickly down to find the chest. I was there when they asked if the chest could be seen from google and he shook his head no. Doesn’t mean the blaze can’t be seen. My blaze looks like the blaze on a horses head and I can see it but the chest cannot be seen Stephen sorry you cannot get out there soon but if you wait and check back I promise some breaking news then you can decide if you like Gardiner , Mt or the new hunt in —-

  5. Great! Let me know about your new blog. Again, Joe Brown put-in is the place of high interest for me right now. I would like to have someone stand at the put-in and take pics across the highway 89 at where Joe Brown Creek is up Yankee Jim Canyon and then pics of across the Yellowstone River where the two sand dunes or islands are and the small area of trees on the other side of the river. Also, maybe a shot of the actual boat ramp where you put in the boat at Joe Brown put-in. I hope I dont sound picky, I am just so excited to be in contact with someone who has been in that area and might possibly give me better understanding of the area. I would like to share my ideas with someone, so let me know what you want or need. Thanks!

    1. Stephen here are the problems I have had in the area you are looking. I have looked there for four years maybe more. Probably made 40 trips in there. Just because I couldn’t find it there doesn’t mean it is not there but here are the reasons I don’t look there any more. The river there is too close to roads and the highway. There were only two blazes I could find without going to look for one. I feel I must know the blaze and where it is before I can get there. Forrest says not to look for a blaze if you haven’t solved the first part like where to start. Stephen it seems to me you are seasoned and know what it is like to have boots on the ground. Most would agree if you don’t know exactly where to look you are wasting your time. We all know it is up a creek but then out of no where we are supposed to find the blaze. Remember it won’t be found by accident the Texan is going to walk right to it says Fenn. He doesn’t say he will look around and find it. So I feel it can all be done with google a poem and a map.
